Healing is accomplished through various methods, through the Risen series. The following is a list of the various methods of healing. "Healing" here is used to mean restoring anything that can be depleted, such as health, mana, or a character's soul (like in Risen 3). Items are firstly listed by what they heal, and secondly by the nature of the item.
Because many items change from one game to another, often an entry will include multiple lines with information specific to each game.
Terminology[]
- Cooldown only applies in Risen 3, and only when playing with Ultra Combat Difficulty. After consuming an instant-heal item (versus a regeneration item), a timer is started. Until this timer expires, you are prevented from using another instant-heal item. The length of this timer is the cooldown. For example, if you drink cheap liquor, not only can you not drink another cheap liquor for 10 seconds, but you are also blocked from drinking grog or rum as well.
- Price is the cost to purchase an item.
- Value is how much selling the item will pay you.
Health and Mana[]
Although some items restore only health and some restore only mana, there are other items that restore both (such as Plaice). In addition, the healing effects of some items change from Risen to later games (such as Grog). To make things easier to list and to understand, all items restoring either health or mana have been grouped together.
